Tree Lighting Ceremonies for Manhasset(11030) and Port Washington(11050), NY
Small town traditions are a wonderful experience.
Who would think that living in view of the Manhattan skyline could feel like a Jimmy Stewart movie? Well it can! These two local events have all the charm, nostalgia to make even a grinch smile.
If you are in Manhasset, join the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce for the Annual Tree Lighting on Friday, December 4th at 4:00 pm. Head over to Mary Jane Davies for some caroling, hot chocolate and to see which kids won the annual poster contest. The HS musicians will perform and the tree will be lit.
If you are near Port Washington, their annual lighting will be on Sunday, December 6th at 4:30 pm at the Blumenfelfd Family Park on Main Street.
Come see the very young to the very old come out for these wonderul traditions. You will find it hard to believe you are only 18 miles from midtown Manhattan.
