“What’s it really like to live in Manhasset?” I get that question a lot from buyers…one of the best things about living in Manhasset is it’s community spirit…it is something that is hard for a real estate agent to describe and hard to picture if you are a buyer. One of the best showcases of community spirit is an annual event coming Saturday, May 1st at the Munsey Park elementary school. It is the SCA FAIR! The fair is a fundraiser organized and run by the SCA (School Community Association) which is Manhasset’s version of a parent teacher organization.
This outdoor fair features rides, games, a large tent with everything from attic treasures, books, baked goods and wonderful vendors selling goods. There is a stage where children from the community perform everything from martial arts to music. The money that is raised goes back to the schools – it’s a winner for all involved.
So, the kids by me are in the countdown for an event that has something for everyone…I will be there and I hope you will be too!
This is a great day to get out and meet the people of Manhasset – you will be amazed how everyone seems to know everyone else and how the community comes together to support this annual event….and you’ll see what it is really like to live in Manhasset!
